A German job agency, Scholz & Friends, has devised an unusual advertisement campaign to encourage people to switch jobs - by depicting humans as doing the works of ATMs and vending machines. Using the slogan ‘Life’s too short for the wrong job’, the posters show what ‘really’ goes on inside a number of everyday machines from washers to jukeboxes. The job agency's aim is to challenge workers who are unhappy in the workplace to look for a new career. Each photo is an x-ray shot of common machinery in our everyday lives, with models crammed into the little metal boxes.
Here is my favourite:
Depicts a woman sweating to hand-wash a young man's clothes inside the cramped 'back-room' of a washing machine at a launderette. |

Good job, Bea. When I saw this advertisement on your blog I thought it was funny, but brilliant as well. My favourite picture is of the guy who is singing and playing instruments while he is crammed in the jukebox. That picture makes me laugh every time I see it. I agree that this advertisement campaign is very clever and creative. I also agree that they clearly conveyed the message without criticizing anyone's real occupation. I agree that a great advertisement campaign is original and creative. But I also think that the advertising campaigns should make sure that the company or brand is consistently recognizable. Great points and great blog!
ReplyDeleteThis is an excellent choice for an ad campaign and its really hilarious after seeing it. What makes it so interesting is that you can look for a job and it can be inside a machine and you yourself are operating it. That's what I like about it!
ReplyDeleteGood post Bea. The ad you chose was very clever and would have never thought of it. I was really amazed with the ad and I actually looked at it for a good minute. Your comments on the ad was fantastic. Great Job!
